The 1952 Topps set is filled with obscure players, as Topps picked up the crumbs left behind by the then-dominant Bowman. It's possible there is no more obscure player depicted within than Dale Coogan, who spent two months with the Pirates in 1950, then wandered through then minor leagues for the rest of the decade, with two seasons given to the US Military. He died young, in 1989 and this is one of only nine PSA/DNA signed 1952 Topps cards in their database. Authentic in grade, his long, looping signature in black Sharpie is a sweet one.
