George Crowe, a large, powerful man, was a Negro League standout (and basketball ace with the Harlem Rens) when he was signed by the Braves in 1949 and his National League debut for them was in 1952. His high number Topps card that year serves as his rookie and the card seen here, has some slight rounding of the corners and a nick in the upper left border. The PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC signature is rendered large and in blue and is low pop as a signed subject in the set, with a mere five logged in the PSA database.
