The winning pitcher when Bobby Thomson hit The Shot Heard Round The World, Larry Jansen is holding up seven fingers to represent his seven children (at the time, three more came later). A tough, gritty gamer, Jansen was a Giants rotation mainstay from 1947 into the early 1950's when back problems got the better of him. A popular pose in the set, this card has corner rounding and come creasing evident, with superb color and centering. The autograph is in black, PSA/DNA Authentic.
