Mickey McDermott was a true fireballer, who had some of the worst control of any pitcher in the history of baseball, both on and off the mound and was also, oddly, one of the game's better pinch hitters. He lucked into a trade to the 1956 Yankees and earned his only ring. The 1952 Topps card seen here is a hardscrabble one, with nice color. The signature is in blue and sprawling, PSA/DNA Authentic.
