The M101-4 pool of players made its was far and wide in 1916 but the Altoona Tribune should take the prize for the most under-the-radar issuer of the set. Extremely tough, the set checklist is 200 subjects long but a mere 14 have been graded by PSA and another 31 by SGC. Sam Crawford, the Hall of Fame outfielder for the Tigers, is a PSA 1 pop 1, with none graded by SGC. Off-center to the right with a notch at the top edge and a pinhole at the bottom, the image remains in nice shape, with a faint print line running across it. The back is clean, with just a hint of foxing in a couple of spots. This is the one and only graded example!
