Wilbert Robinson was in the midst of guiding his Brooklyn Robins to their first National League pennant in 1916 when he was depicted in the M101-4 Sporting News set. While graded EX 5 by PSA, an unfortunate miscut has sliced off the bottom of the card number, resulting in the "MC" qualifier. The top two corners are quite sharp, while the bottom two have some very slight wear at the tips. Some toning can be seen and the image is well reproduced. This is the blank backed version of the card and it is clean. "Uncle Robbie" was enshrined as a manger in Cooperstown in 1945 with a record that was exactly one game over .500.
