Hoot Evers, one of the best athletes ever to come out of  the St. Louis metro area, was a hard hitting on base machine for the first five years of his major league career in Detroit before injuries derailed him in 1951.  He bounced around a bit after that and only played one game with the Tigers in 1952 before being traded to the Red Sox but Topps had him with Detroit despite that.  The card has a bit of a tilt but has nice color and sharp image, with no grade requested while the PSA/DNA Autograph grade is a perfect GEM MINT 10 rendered in black.
