Sal Yvars was a backup catcher in the National League for seven years and his 1952 Topps high number card is a fabulously yellow horizontal beauty. This particular pasteboard has seen some rough handling in its day.  His signature here, in black Sharpie against a golden sky, is bold and almost rollicking and he's included his middle initial, a very scarce signed example with just six listed on PSA's census.
