Jim Turner was a Yankees coach for eleven seasons and before that pitched nine years in the majors, earning two World Series rings before adding another seven as Casey Stengel's pitching coach with the Bronx Bombers.  Despite a stellar and lengthy minor league career, he didn't debut in the majors until he was 33 years old and promptly reeled off twenty wins for the Boston Braves in 1937. He won a combined 303 major and minor league games, an incredible feat that required him closing out his pitching career in AA ball. Topps added several coaches to pad out the 1952 high numbers and his card captures him in spring training, no doubt picking up a flaw in some pitcher's mechanics.  This is a PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC card signed nicely in blue ink, one of just eight in the PSA population report. There is a stray mark in the right side border that seems unrelated to Turner's signature.
