Included as part of the collection of personal memorabilia consigned by the family of deadball era pitcher Barney Pelty was this carefully-trimmed cover from a 1904 St. Louis Browns official scorebook.  Trimmed to approximately 4 5/8" x 6 1/2", the piece contains portrait images of the 1904 St. Louis Browns, with a large image of manager Jimmy McAleer at the top center, flanked by 16 portrait images of members of the ball club.  Pelty is along the right side, second from bottom, while Hall of Famers Jesse Burkett and Bobby Wallace are also pictured.  The trim is a tad uneven at the borders, but the piece itself presents well.  An affordable original piece from 1904, emanating directly from the estate of Barney Pelty.
