Also known as R313-A, the 1934 Gold Medal Foods set (also frequently called "Gold Medal Flour") was issued by the parent company of Wheaties to commemorate the participants in the 1934 World Series and features a half dozen players apiece, in a large-size format, from the Cardinals and Tigers. Ol' Diz was in his prime in  1934 and his personality shines through on this sweet looking SGC 4. Nicely centered, with the slightest of tilts, this card sports a clean, period looking back.
