Here is a black and white E97 C.A. Briggs card of Claude Rossman that is part of a series sometimes referred to as proofs, as noted on the flip.   The black and white cards are exponentially tougher than color E97's and are thinner and blank backed.  They also do not show up in high grade - the best example found in SCG's pop report is a 3.5 and it's just as dire at PSA.  This example shows some discoloration down the left side, terminating in a lower left corner scrape.  There is some additional discoloration in the upper right and a pair of creases traverse the card. The trick here isn't the condition though, it's the rarity.
