Also known by it's R332 American Card Catalog number, the 50 card 1935 Schutter-Johnson set offered playing tips from major league players and remains a bugbear for Hall-of-Fame collectors. Quirky yet inventive and showing off Depression-era ingenuity in using drawings from famed sports artist Al Demaree, SGC lists just six examples overall in their pop report, with low grades predominating, just like they do with the entire set. This SGC 1.5 has a horizontal crease that doesn't break the paper running across the middle of the card. It's been handled but not abused and the color remans strong on this card of Hall-of-Famer Grover Alexander.
