1970 MLB Photostamps were part of a campaign by the fledgling Players Union to raise funds and resulted in a flurry of issues from 1969-71. This gorgeous PSA 9 hails from these efforts and was marketed under the name Baseball Stars, issued in an album oriented format with team sheets of stamps within, with one album per league. This shot of Clemente is from Spring Training but the pose in his "fielding ready" position no doubt shows the form that led to recurring nightmares for the baserunners in his day. Neatly hand cut and ready for a player of Hall-of-Fame collection.
