Fleer issued two World Series sets featuring the wonderful artwork of cartoonist Robert Laughlin in 1970 and 1971, with the latter year featuring a redesign and ending with the 1970 Fall Classic. Unknown to many, they issued "extension" cards covering the World Series from 1971 through 1977 and distributed them briefly in 1978 via a promotion with Good Humor ice cream, following which they ended up being sold directly by Laughlin himself for a short time thereafter.  Then in 1980, Laughlin created two additional designs for the 1978 and 1979 clashes, destined for a sticker set that did not feature text on the backs, but also had to use a redrawn card for 1971, which dropped Clemente. Most collectors are aware of the 1971 World Series card from the 1980 set, so the original is often a surprise when first encountered.

As you can imagine, these extension cards are tougher than a Texas Leaguer to track down. The 1971 card from this extension series highlighted Clemente's masterful seven game dismantling of the Orioles vaunted pitching staff that resulted in World Series MVP honors. This PSA 7 has centering pushed to the lower right, which seems to be the main holdback on the grade, as this is a superb looking card, with strong color and no toning.
