Following his legendry playing career and a six-and-a-half season run as the Giants skipper, Mel Ott put in two seasons managing Oakland in the Pacific Coast League and was captured here in the colorful 1952 Mother's Cookies set that only saw distribution out west. The sole Hall-of-Famer in the set, Ott is clearly giving the signal for bids on this card!

Mother's Cookies cards are almost never found in nice shape and six 8's total are the highest grades in the SGC pop report, across 64 subjects.  This example has seen some handling in its day, with some creasing and paper loss evident, none of it too severe and possibly just from being in contact with the product.  The reverse shows some light foxing, likely from the same product contact.
