The 1934-36 Diamond Stars set is a bit of an Art Deco masterpiece. Ernie Lombardi made his Hall of Fame bones as a hard hitting catcher and swatted a robust .343 in 1935. This PSA 4.5 is centered to the lower left corner and exhibits a true snapshot of the Depression-era design and color palette deployed over the three years of distribution. Typical toning is present and the card has nice color front and back, the subsequently-corrected misspelling of Lombardi's first name lending desirability to the card.
