Tigers great, Ty Cobb poses for photographers in this Type 2 photo from Brown Brothers. This was Cobb’s go-to pose for the camera’s and shots remeniscent of this were used as the source material for several Deadball Era issued cards of the day. Photo has survived in excellent overall condition with light wear to the corners. Verso includes four different Brown Brothers credit stamps along with pencil notations at the very top. Though it remains a vintage photo, created from the original negative, this example was developed sometime during the 1930’s – landing it as a Type 2 photo on PSA’s authentication scale. Measures 5” x 7”. Encapsulated as a Type 2 photo by PSA/DNA.
