Taken with their fifth round pick, point guard Duck Williams made his NBA debut on October 12, 1979 with the newly-christened Utah Jazz, having moved from New Orleans during the offseason. Williams averaged 12 1/2 points in 25 minutes per game in his four year career at Notre Dame, but played just one season in the NBA, averaging 6.6 points and 2.4 assists per game for the 1979-80 Jazz.
