Interesting collection of tobacco packages, some related to sports cards, some simply strong examples of turn-of-the-century tobacciana.  Collection includes: 1) J.G. Dill's Best Cut Plug: Attractive yellow and blue tobacco tin once containing plug tobacco.  GOOD condition with chipping and removal of the graphics due to age and surface abrasion, appearance remains attractive with heavy patina inside and out.  2) Home Run Cigarettes: frequently-seen baseball-themed pack, unopened but with cellophane wrapping tearing away at the top.  Pennsylvania 20-cent tax stamp on bottom of pack.  3) Mecca Cigarettes: slide and shell empty display box, colorful but well-worn, flattened with age.  No tax stamp.  4) Obak Cigarettes: Shell portion of slide-and-shell case, apparently unused, some light warner staining visible, otherwise strong.  Folded flat.  5) Richmond Straight Cut Cigarettes: clamshell package with tobacco product inside and apparently unopened.  Hinge has been broken, though display quality is extremely strong.  1922 tax stamp. 6) Old Judge Cigarettes: Slide-and-shell empty display box, VG/EX appearance.  Dewitt Clinton tax stamp has unfortunately worn away at the date (or perhaps been deliberately removed by a previous owner) 7) Recruit Little Cigars: shell portion of slide-and-shell box only, strong eye appeal with some wear at the edges and surface.  1910 tax stamp, pencil writing on the reverse. 8) Recruit Little Cigars: complete box still containing tobacco product but previously opened.  EX appearance, tax stamp has been torn away.  9) Richmond Straight-Cut Cigarettes: empty slide-and-shell display box, date portion of tax stamp has been torn away.  Black ink writing on front panel, POOR condition.  10) Twin Oaks Mixture: Exceptional empty tobacco tin, dark gray with red accents.  Some minor chipping of the grey color is evident, revealing some metallic texture underneath.  Inside exhibits light age-related patina.  11) Victory Tobacco: attractive but well-worn pouch with Victory label on front.  Original drawstring attached, tax stamp long worn away.  11 packages total.
