Reach OAL baseball, signed in fountain pen on the east panel by Hall of Famer Ty Cobb.  Cobb signed and dated the ball September 23; the signature is legible, though faded in places, the date the subject of quite a bit of review at the LOTG office, and we feel 1915 is a distinct possibility.  Though the markings on the ball have faded and worn, but we believe it was manufactured between 1913-17, based on guidance obtained from the Official American League Base Ball Guide (Gruenbaum).  The red-and-blue stitched baseball has seen quite a bit of wear, with surface abrasions and heavy toning throughout, and significant fading and wear to the stamps.  However, based on the dating of the baseball this appears to be one of the earlier Cobb signatures we have seen.  Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
