A souvenir program for just fifty cents! That was the going rate as offered by vendor Robert Cherins during the 1956 World Series as he enticed fans to grab a scorecard at Ebbets Field. This 7" x 9" photo provides a fabulous look at both a packed house for the Fall Classic and an item collectors still covet to this day, as it was originally sold. Captured during Game 1 on October 3, 1956, the presented photograph remains in wonderful condition with light creasing to the corners evident, though the central image remains unaffected. Verso exhibits moderate toning with remnants of a paper caption affixed. That very paper caption is included, providing further details on the game.
