This ticket stub is one of a complete run of stubs from every New York Yankees/Brooklyn Dodgers World Series game being offered in this auction.  We invite you to view our printed catalog or visit our e-book catalog online at https://online.flippingbook.com/view/961320424/ to read an excellent article on the crosstown rivalry written by SABR president Mark Armour.

Game 6 of the 1956 World Series was another nail-biter, a "must win" for the Dodgers that pitted Clem Labine against Bob Turkey.  The game remained scoreless through the bottom of the 10th, when Jim Gilliam drew a one-out walk and was sacrificed to second by Pee Wee Reese.  After intentionally walking Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson lined a single to left, scoring Gilliam and winning the game for Brooklyn, forcing a decisive Game 7.

Presented here are a pair of ticket stubs from the game.  The first is a reserved seat, clean and colorful, with some mild surface soiling and soft edges and corners consistent with use.  Some light surface wrinkling is also observable.  The second stub grades POOR, more heavily worn soiled with some markings left by clear tape.  Some light writing near the perf is also apparent.  Two stubs total.
