Goudey included two cards of Gehrig in their 1933 set, with identical poses derived from the famed Conlon illustration. One was issued with the lower numbers, while this one saw inclusion in the high numbers. As per the PSA pop report, #160 is roughly twice as difficult as the #92 card issued earlier in the production cycle. This example exhibits evenly worn corners consistent with the grade, a little edge wear and a small spot of paper loss evident on the front along with what looks like some very old gum residue. The reverse is green and reasonably clean with a little bit of that gum residue running up the left side. A freshly-graded example from an original owner collection, certainly handled but also lacking some of the surface wear often seen by Goudey cards that have passed around the hobby over the years. A nice-looking card for the grade.
