One of the first cards to picture Babe Ruth as a member of the Yankees and likely the first to picture him in a Yankee uniform, the 1921 Exhibits card of the Babe is also one of the few that depict him in a fielding pose. The majority of Ruth's non-portrait cards, both before and after this point, pictured him either pitching or hitting, the two facets of the game for which he was best known. Ruth's 1921 Exhibits card is extraordinarily desirable for all those reasons, one of the most important Exhibit cads ever distributed.
Presented here is the highest-graded example of the 115 1921 Exhibits Babe Ruth cards to have been graded by PSA, the only card attaining the lofty grade of EX-MT+ 6.5. The image is clear, with strong contrast, the corners sharp with just a hint of toning at the lower-right and a minor chip along the right edge, mentioned here solely for accuracy. The card reverse is clean. An extraordinary card, the finest assessed by PSA in its history.
