"The Yiddish Curver," Barney Pelty warms up on the sidelines in this unique oversize cabinet photograph. Bell & Palfrey's studio has captured Pelty at what appears to be a St. Louis Browns home game c.1908 and a portion of their stamping remains in the lower-right corner of the mount. Despite obvious heavy wear to the mount itself, the affixed photograph remains highly presentable with only minor white discoloration in the lower-right corner. Overall dimensions of approx. 9" x 13.75" with the photo measuring approx. 6" x 12". One of several pieces in this auction emanating directly from the estate of Barney Pelty himself, where they have remained until the time of this sale.
