Exceptional example of the "Hands at Chest" or "Pitching" pose of Walter Johnson. Posed in the set position, ready to deliver a pitch, Johnson gazes to his left, the illustrator catching his intensity. Though his portrait card remains the more popular of his two cards in the T206 issue, the "pitching" pose is certainly more colorful and dynamic. This example has attained a grade of VG 3, due to some light wrinkling near the top of the card, and some tobacco staining common to T206 cards with Polar Bear backs.
