The original "Big Hurt" (sorry Frank Thomas #2), Elgin Baylor was a prodigious scorer for the Lakers throughout the 1960's. His Hall-of-Fame career somewhat mirrored that of Jerry West's and his rookie card is one of several keys in the 1961-62 Fleer set. The deep maroon background here is superb withsome chipping along the left side and an image pushed to the right all lead to a fairly graded card. Fun fact: Baylor was drafted twice by the Lakers, first in 1956 due to a redshirt year in college and again in 1958, the latter time as the overall #1 pick.
