Arguably the most attractive card in both Cracker Jack sets, there is little question in our mind as to why Cracker Jack changed the Mathewson pose from its 1914 issue (which depicted Matty pitching).  The portrait is illustrative of Mathewson's dignified demeanor and heroic feats on the mount, the well-known image one of the most frequently seen representations of the great pitcher.  Graded VG 3 by PSA, the card is well-centered with a sharp image and bold, red background.  Corner wear is pronounced, with the corners evenly rounded, with a light corner crease at the upper right.  Soiling is apparent on both the card front and back.  An extremely attractive example of one of the issue's most popular cards.
