Both New York Mets caps have been signed by Myers and inscribed, with the green-brimmed cap reading "Gamer... 1/88," and the gray-brimmed cap reading "Gamer..." but the year is not entirely legible. The bat has been signed and inscribed "To a Good Friend Richard. Best Always... 06/87" and does not appear to have been used. Myers would secure two wins in relief for the Mets during the 1988 NLCS before New York dropped the series in seven games to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
