The 1921 Exhibits issue is the first in several decades of postcard-sized baseball cards, primarily sold in penny arcade vending machines.  The cards feature black and white photos, the 64-card set including four players from each of the 16 major league teams.  While some of the cards have white borders, others do not, though all have blank backs.  This auction includes an assortment of 1921 Exhibits, some graded and consigned from the collection of a long-time hobbyist, and others fresh to the hobby from a family collection.

This particular grouping is fresh to the hobby and contains a number of outstanding and difficult cards.  Each was consigned from the family of its original owner, part of an outstanding collection of 1920s and 30s cards featured in this auction.  This grouping averages G-VG condition, with some better and a few lesser, and contains many important cards, including the rookie card of Hall of Famer Bucky Harris.  The collection includes the following: Owen Bush, Jake Daubert, Charles Deal, Joe Dugan, Jimmy Dykes (2), J.F. Fournier, Hank Gowdy, Heinie Groh, Bucky Harris (HOF RC), Walter Holke, Charles Hollicher (2), James H. Johnson, George "Highpockets" Kelly (HOF), Dick Kerr, Bill Killifer, Stuffy McInnis, Greasy Neale (Football HOF), Ivy Olson, Cy Perkins, Joe Rapp, Jimmy Ring, Ray Schalk (2), Wally Schang, Everett Scott, George Sisler (HOF), John Tobin, Zack Wheat (HOF - 2), Possum Whitted, Cy Williams, and Ivy Wingo.  An outstanding collection of cards from the Exhibit company's first baseball set.  34 cards total.
