Attractive collector-grade example of what is in our opinion one of the most beautiful cards in the T206 set. Once described to us as a card that "looks like it belongs hanging above a fireplace mantel " the portrait card of Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young is a vivid green with a dignified Young gazing slightly off to his right. This example has been graded VG 40 by SGC due primarily to rounded corners as the rest of the card is very strong and clean. Some surface wear is apparent on the reverse but it is nothing to detract from the overall appeal of the card. Population Data SGC Population: 108 total graded 19 at this level 28 higher* PSA Population: 190 total graded 34 at this level 76 higher* *Please note that PSA just recently began to differentiate between T206 back variations in their population reports so it is entirely possible that other examples of this card may have been graded by PSA and classified in their pop reports as "unknown back." Also note that SGC's population report makes reference to several cards on Young with a Piedmont back but does not notate which of the three poses the cards are. It is entirely likely that at least some of these feature the portrait pose.
