W601 team composite featuring the champion 1905 New York Giants who defeated the Philadelphia Athletics four games to one in the 1905 World Series. 13" x 14" piece depicts nineteen members of a club stacked with Hall of Fame talent. Future Hall of Famers include: Roger Bresnahan, Hughie Jennings, Christy Mathewson, Joe McGinnity, and manager John McGraw. Star hurler Christy Mathewson led the league with a 1.28 ERA and 31 victories that year (second best throughout his career only to his 37 wins in 1908). This piece displays beautifully with the only wear of note present to both corners on the right side.
