Attractive Shibe Park ticket stub from the opening game of the 1930 World Series between the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals.  Philadelphia took both games at Shibe Park en route to a victory in six games.  The opening game was a 5-2 Philadelphia victory thanks to home runs by Al Simmons and Mickey Cochrane, Hall of Famer Lefty Grove getting the win.  The stub itself exhibits wear, with some paper loss at the perforations, a collector-grade stub with strong aesthetic appeal.
