Near-complete run of World Series tickets and stubs from the years 2000 through 2009, missing just 2004, which is featured elsewhere in this auction as a single lot.  Collection includes: 1) 2000 World Series: Yankee Stadium ticket stub from the opening game of the Subway Series between the New York Yankees and New York Mets.  The game was played on Saturday, October 21, a 4-3 Yankees win in 12 innings on a single by Jose Vizcaino.  FAIR condition with creasing.  2) 2001 World Series: Yankee Stadium stub from Game 3 of the Series between the Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks, a 2-1 Yankees win in a Series that would ultimately be won by Arizona.  VG-EX condition.  3) 2001 World Series: Bank One Ballpark stub from the opening game between Arizona and the Yankees, the Diamondbacks winning the game, 9-1.  VG.  3) 2002 World Series: Edison International Field stub for Game 6 between the San Francisco Giants and Anaheim Angels, a 6-5 Angels win despite Barry Bonds' fourth home run of the Series.  VG+.  4) 2005 World Series: US Cellular Field stub for the opening game between the Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox, won 5-3 by Chicago.  FAIR condition with considerable surface wear.  5) 2006 World Series:  Busch Stadium ticket to Game 3 between the Detroit Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals, a 5-0 win behind Chris Carpenter's outstanding pitching.  EX-MT.  6) 2007 World Series: Fenway Park stub from the opening game between the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies, a 13-1 Boston drubbing.  EX-MT condition.  7) 2008 World Series: Citizens Bank park stub from Game 3 of the 2008 Series between the Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays, a 5-4 Phillies win on a walk-off single by Carlos Ruiz, the first walk-off infield hit in Series history.  EX condition.  8) 2009 World Series: Yankee Stadium full ticket from Game 2 of the Series between the Yankees and Phillies, a 3-1 Yankees win.  EX-MT condition.  Nine stubs and tickets total.
