In a bid to raise money for the fledgling Major League Baseball Players Association, several revenue streams were created, one of which involved the sale of collectibles. These took root in 1969 and the MLB Photostamps issue was prominent among them. Produced and sold in sheets of twelve, there were companion albums published for each league. This Clemente is one of those stamps and has been hand cut to perfection, as noted by PSA with their Gem Mint 10 designation. Unimprovable! (Note: the little line in the upper left corner is on the original photo used for the set and is not a defect.)
