Card #251-8 according to The Photographic Baseball Cards of Goodwin & Company (1886-1890) by Miller Gonsowski and Masson Tim Keefe is one of the more common Hall of Famers in the issue. This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that this particular pose is one of just 23 N172s to feature two players with both players listed. Featuring New York infielder Danny Richardson the card depicts a scene where Keefe is ostensibly diving to tag out the also diving Richardson. Or something. Graded FR 1.5 by PSA the card boasts a VG/EX front with strong image quality but the technical grade is dramatically reduced due to paper loss on the card's blank back the obvious result of being removed from a 19th Century scrapbook. The front of the card is what concerns most N172 collectors however and this one is exceptional. Population Data PSA Population: 2 total graded both at this level SGC Population: 80 total graded 9 at this level 52 higher* *Please note that SGC does not differentiate between pose variations on N172 cards. The result is that the 80 cards tallied in their population report represent all the different Tim Keefe cards they have graded regardless of pose.
