Half of a famous "brother battery" with his brother Mort, the Cooper's went to three straight World Series with the Cardinals from 1942-44 and were both a main spark in their two successful bids (1942 and 1944). His 1952 Topps card features a really wonderful portrait, with PSA/DNA authentication of his signature in blue that shows some signs of fading, possibly from the time it was signed as the card still looks bright.
