Hoot Evers was a fine, athletic outfielder who played for several teams after getting a late start due to World War 2. A popular Tiger in his day, Evers was plagued by injuries almost from the time his 1952 Topps card was issued. He eventually became a team executive with Cleveland then the Tigers when his playing career was over. The signature here is in pen, with PSA/DNA authentication, one of only ten in their pop report for this card.
