Printed in Cuba on extremely flimsy paper, the 1945-46 Caramelo Deportivo Felices issue is unbelievable condition-sensitive.  Cuban baseball cards, rare to begin with, are often found severely worn, but this issue even more so due to the thin paper.  Folds, tears and missing pieces are very common with this issue, a 100-"card" caramel set that included many Negro League stars.  Beyond being condition-sensitive, the cards are scarce to begin with, as many did not survive paper drives during the war years, not to mention the Cuban climate.  Presented here are cards of two players who found fame in the major leagues.  Adolfo Luque's card is graded PR 1 by PSA, Armando Marsans FAIR 1.5 by SGC, both cards exhibiting typical surface wear associated with this issue.  Both members of the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame, Marsans batted .269 lifetime in an 8-year major league career with four different clubs, and Luque pitched 20 seasons in the majors, mostly with Cincinnati, winning 27 games in 1923.  Two cards total.
