I have one to sell!
Graded "Authentic" by SGC this piece of 1888 baseball currency is clearly in POOR condition with significant corner and edge wear along with tears and folds consistent with this issue and how it was used. Advertising J. Henry Lauterbach's Fine Boots and Shoes of Baltimore the "front" of the piece as usual bears the likenesses of Al Spalding and Cap Anson. The reverse features portraits of the Chicago team including Anson once again (and an ad for a $3.50 pair of calf-skin shoes. Baseball currency is an interesting promotional tool and certainly a very attractive and display-worthy collectible. Despite the poor condition these pieces are not without scarcity and in the SGC holder present well enough for display.
