Likely originating from the Cincinnati area, BF3 Pennants were issued in an array of different styles (a dozen at present count) and their designation by Jefferson Burdick served as a "catch-all" in the American Card Catalog for mid 1930's felt issues of a similar appearance. Presented here are a pair of Pennants with "Paul Waner" being the subject of both. Intriguingly these are both "pennant within a pennant" Type 7's and are the only two graded by PSA of this type. However, it seems this particular type is now classified as BF4 (with none graded at SGC with that description)! The Authentic Grade for both is a byproduct of SGC's arcane grading requirements and the two mini pennants shown here are in fine fettle, having survived the past 80+ years in remarkable shape.
