SGC-authenticated stub from September 29 1963 the final game of the Hall of Fame career of "Stan The Man" Musial. Musial went 2-for-3 in the game with an RBI in the Cardinals 3-2 win over Cincinnati slamming the lid on a 22-year major league career that yielded 3 630 hits and a .331 lifetime batting average. The most beloved player in St. Louis Cardinals history Musial's last game capped an eventful final season as just a few weeks earlier Musial's first grandchild was born making him the first grandfather ever to hit a major league home run. Just a few days prior to his final game Cardinals owner Augie Busch announced Musial's number 6 would be retired and made "Stan The Man" a vice president in the Cardinals organization. He continued to have a visible public profile for decades after his retirement before he passed away from Alzheimer's last year. The ticket stub itself is in outstanding condition torn at the perforation at the bottom but otherwise appearing in EX-MT to NMT condition. The stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by SGC.
