The 1967 "Retirado" series was one of three subsets in an overarching issue that also included likely pirated 1967 Topps cards and some Venezuelan Winter League players.  Using black-and-white shots set against an inviting blue background, dozens of retired Hall-of-Famers were depicted in a series prized today by collectors. This SGC 3 Gehrig is miscut but still looks quite nice and is in fairly high grade for the issue.  There's no album residue or damage on the reverse and the Gehrig image is bold. This is a tough post-career card of a major Hall-of-Famer.
