"Milkman" Jim Turner made his name as Casey Stengel's pitching coach with the Yankees and oversaw seven World Series winning pitching staffs; he also won two rings a player, which is a heckuva lot of championship bling. Topps was running out of players when they decided to issue their "second" series of 1952 baseball cards (a.k.a. the high numbers) and a number of coaches made an appearance, Turner among them. This SGC 5.5 graded card features Turner set against a vivid, almost psychedelic background. The front centering is typical for the 1952 high numbers while the back centering is pushed to the southwest.
