Lot Description  

Original 5" x 7" Goodwin & Co. glass plate negative emanating from the "Vermont Find." Third baseman Jack Farrell is depicted in a batting pose with the 1888 Washington Nationals. This image served as the source material for Farrel's N172 Old Judge card numbered 154-6. Paper labels with handwritten notations are affixed along the upper-left and top edges of emulsion side of this negative and a blob of staining is present on the left edge parallel to Farrell's beltline.
