Original 5" x 7" Goodwin & Co. glass plate negative emanating from the "Vermont Find." Left fielder Jim Burns is depicted in a standing pose with the 1888 Omaha Omahogs of the Western Association. This image served as the source material for Burns' N172 Old Judge card numbered 56-7. As with the other Jim Burns negative we're offering in this sale (in a sliding pose), the presented example is particularly clean with a central image free of obtrusive toning or wear.
