Issued as two card package design panels, the 1953-54 Briggs Meats set featured 28 players from the Washington Senators and 12 from the New York area teams. These are true rarities and this well composed shot of versatile Yankees 2nd Baseman Gil McDougald displays the hand cut handiwork of the excited kid who cut up a panel almost seventy years ago. There is typical product staining visible on the front that does not detract from the image while the reverse shows some dirt, typical for the set. Roughly ninety percent of all Briggs Meats cards are hand cut and PSA has only graded three examples of this card, with a single PSA 3 higher.
