I have one to sell!
Issued in 1959 as one of a small series of single-card issues that were used at the promotional appearances of Kansas City players Harry Chiti Whitey Herzog and Roger Maris there are just four different "cards" from this issue currently known including two different cards of Maris. Due to the method of distribution all the known specimens of these cards are found autographed (since that was their intended purpose). This example signed in ballpoint pen by a young Maris is a particularly attractive one although the corners have suffered a bit through the years exhibiting a few creases and dings. The signature remains in outstanding shape however - a vintage signature from Maris one of the more desirable signatures in the hobby (and one of the more frequently forged). A Maris signature on a 1959 Armour Bacon card due to the fact that these cards are always found signed carries a certainty of authenticity that many Maris signatures cannot boast; the SGC authentication and encapsulation merely adds to that.
