Collector-grade example of the #1 card in the popular 1934 Goudey issue, of Hall of Famer Jimmy Foxx. It is often theorized that the first and last cards in any set are condition-sensitive, simply due to being at the top and bottom of a pile of cards, and are thus more challenging to find in high grade. This example, graded GOOD 2 by PSA, is perhaps evidence of that, exhibiting wear at the edges and corners consistent with handling, but also surface soiling consistent with exposure to dust and dirt. The image quality itself is strong, a desirable card in any grade and certainly one of the keys to the issue.
